REAL TIME PASSENGER SYSTEM

Screentech have been contracted by SAAB-ITS to supply LED signs and software for a "Real time Passenger Information System" in New Zealand for Auckland City Council.

The system uses GPRS and GPS to send passenger information and bus position on the route. Intergration with the Traffic Management System changes traffic lights to give the buses priority when requested.

Screentech has been an integral partner in the "Design and Functionality of the LED signage and Software.

The use of a Linux operating system for the signs, allows for the future expansion of the system as required.
